Christian Credit Counseling

Christians generally have a basis on which all things are done. Depending on the location, a Church can have a branch of people that are qualified to assist others with credit issues. Depending on the congregation, size, and budget of the church, the credit counselors may or may not get paid for their time.
Why is the credit bad?
First, the credit counselors sit down with the clients and assess all financial records for the past seven years. Seven years is how long a report to the credit agencies stays on a credit report for everyone in the United States. The counselor points out credit problems and discusses why the negative marks are present, explaining the role of loans and credit cards.
Fixing the issue
The Christian counselor may suggest to the individual that God has a plan for everyone, and that the individuals with poor credit or financial standing are meant to do something special. At the point of seeking credit counseling, the individual may feel completely hopeless. Christian counselors are specially trained to deal with assisting distraught individuals by praying and talking it out.
The differences between Christian credit counselors and regular credit counselors is minimal. Generally, Christian counselors are there for more moral support, and people feel that Christian credit counselors are less likely to judge them than anyone else, and their shared faith gives them a basis from which to discuss the client's financial problems.
